A TRUSTED SOURCE FOR RELINES, REBASES & REPAIRS IN NIAGARA FALLS AND NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE

Dentures are designed to fit the contours of your mouth. Over time, changes in the jaw bones and oral tissues will cause your dentures to gradually become loose and ill-fitting. This can cause considerable pain and discomfort and often leads to broken dentures or fractures. This can easily be prevented with annual check-ups or follow-ups, which are often complimentary at our clinics.

We recommend receiving denture reline services annually or bi-annually to keep your dentures fitting their best. Allowing you to always feel comfortable and secure with functional dentures.

DENTURE RELINING

Denture relining is a procedure whereby new acrylic material is added to the gum tissue portion of your denture(s) significantly improving the fit. This is done by taking an impression inside your existing denture.

Relining corrects only the fit of your current denture and will not change the appearance. Relines are required when tissue/bone changes occur due to resorption. If your current dentures feel loose and are causing any discomfort, visit our clinic for relining services. Tissue changes can occur for many reasons including weight loss or gain, ageing, disease and bone loss, to name a few.

DENTURE REBASING

Rebasing is recommended when the denture teeth are in good condition but the base or acrylic material is compromised or worn. In this process, the dentures are retrofitted by replacing all of the acrylic denture base material. A new acrylic base provides a stable and newly fitting denture without replacing the denture teeth.

REPAIRS

Often an existing broken or cracked denture can be restored to its original state. Repairs may be required when chipping, fractures or complete breaks occur. Teeth can even be added to an existing denture when one or more teeth need to be added to an existing denture due to tooth extraction or because of wear or breakage. Most repairs can be completed within a few hours. Denture repairs can be indicative of underlying problems such as poor fit, worn teeth or age of the denture.
